USB-C on iPad is going to depend on the age of your iPad. Earlier iPads equipped with USB-C only recognized specific peripheral types (monitors, keyboards, mice, etc) but newer models w/ USB-C appear to be more agnostic about connected devices. (In the event your iPad w/ USB-C doesn't recognize the BOLT you can use an iOS approved USB hub.) On Macs with USB-C ports you'll have no issues at all. While the Bolt is pinned/wired for mic pass through, most call carriers have an issue with the signal coming in on a digital port (instead of Bluetooth or an analog connection.)
