Last time this was up I ended up canceling my order. I regretted that ever since and now I'm in for teh gold/black again. I definitely have a thing for this look and color combo.

Ok wait - I am about to pop this order but what is the catch? USD 800 down to USD 100 is just insane. Want to do some research, espcially because it is not in house movement but afraid by the time I am done this deal is gone.

In house movements are incredibly uncommon outside of Japan, and typically very, very expensive.
Also, when was it $100? It's $149 right now.

They are back. 9103 looks interesting, but 45mm case width is deal breaker. Drop doesn’t actually say what the lug size is, just width near case.

What's wrong with copying a design? The existance of a less expensive alternative doesn't diminish the prestige, history, glamour or glory of the original. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery then having a watch design transcend a nameplate and become a template, an archetype, of a style is a tremendous compliment to a brand.
Also, watch guys kvetch endlessly about homage watches but wear homage clothes without batting an eye. Do they only wear oxford cloth button downs from Brooks Brothers? Do they only wear waxed cotton jackets from Barbour? Do they only wear penny loafers from GH Bass? Sure as shit they don't think about these things. Inconsistent, two-faced, contradictory, incongruous, hypocritical watch snobs.

Wasn’t gonna comment on this one but as far as ripping off Zodiac so what makes zodiac such a gem fuck zodiac this is a good price for a great movement
