C'mon "drop" $199 is the price this player sells for at the Hiby website (or pretty much everywhere), with immediate shipping. Why would anyone pay the retail price while having to wait over a month just to have their items shipped? I say "Drop" because lately the products offered here are not very attractive in terms of pricing. I feel little by little we're drifting away from what Massdrop once was.

ozzy_sclI would love some clarification on this as well. Is there a reason to grab it on Drop, rather than the Hiby website? 199 Drop points is not a good enough reason. Help us out Drop.......

ozzy_sclAgreed... Usually when this happens there's a massive Drop "reward point" bonus attached. This is about $2 in rewards, less that the free shipping is worth on Amazon (also $199). Help me understand, Drop... Edit: I see they changed the reward total to 2388. Furthering the new business plan of moving towards a membership rewards type site, rather than the mass/group buy strategy, for better or worse...

ozzy_scl@ozzy_scl @Bad.hombre Did you guys notice that they bumped the drop points from 199 to 2388. No comment from them, but they did bump the drop points.

NightpoisonYou're right! they did bumped the drop points, yesterday I started browsing the Hiby website and realised they now have the Hiby R3 Pro Saber with dual ES9218P at $209 I've read some reviews and people prefer the Pro Saber over the R3 Pro. I'll read more about it, the Pro Saber seems a pretty good player.

ozzy_sclDrop just sold the R3 Pro Saber last week too, so I'm surprised to see the R3 Pro here this week. (For the record, I did go on in the Saber drop.)

StariusThat's weird I didn't get that email, what was the price on the R3 Pro Saber? it seems the Pro Saber is the way to go, according to reviews it has better sound and more features compared to the R3 Pro.

ozzy_sclThe Saber went for $209 and the same kind of discussions went on in that thread that are here too. (That it’s the same price on amazon, why should they buy here, etc. ) For what it’s worth, I did find the $25 in rewards compelling enough to purchase it here, after reading good reviews for it. (Zeos of Z Reviews had favorable things to say about this Pro version in a video which also helped me make my decision. ) I like the fact that it’s just a music player and doesn’t run Android. I’m coming from a old iPod Video running RockBox so this will be a nice upgrade for me. 😉

StariusGood point, I think I'll go for the Pro Saber, a friend of mine bought the R3 Pro, so we can compare.
