How do you lock the device to avoid accidental button presses? And how is the device unlocked?

FarnhamYou don't. Any press of a button unlocks the device, and any subsequent accidental button presses screw up playback.

What DAP doesn't suffer from this? Especially all of the smaller ones with touch screens that require 13 year old Japanese girl fingers to use.

KestrelXthat's a damn good question. my impression of daps is that they're just a practical joke. An experiment to find out how much bs (=pointless inconveniences) buyers are willing to deal with before they just switch back to using a phone.

For some of us the idea of hauling around our $900 heavy smartphone while trying to work out, etc. doesn't make a lot of sense. These small DAP are light, have clips and (hopefully) tactile controls.
