I was hoping this was big enough to be a growler for microbrew to take on camping trips. When on the motorcycles, we stop at the nearest town before camping and want to fill up. We need something with a secure lid that won't pop loose, but needs to be about 24-32oz. Maybe an idea for other products - more sizes, test lid to hold the pressure from beer while jostling around?

I don't care about cups, I carry stuff in my camping gear. The biggest issue is whether it can handle 40-80km of rattling over rocks and logs and washboard and runouts without popping a seal. What kind of riding do you carry your Hydroflask on?

kbgkbgWell, in my car, and it rolls around plenty because its pretty hard to secure in the first place. It definitely holds pressure, since it releases after opening it. I have no idea how well it would handle carbonated beverages, but beer doesn't seem to be a problem. The threads are steel and there is a significant seal in the cap. I mention other caps because I swapped mine to a steel cap as well (since the original didn't have a decent loop to grab it by). It's definitely beefier than the cap setup in this drop.

Is this flask any good for coffee? My father and I do long walks with our cameras and it is a pain to bring a flask and empty mug that takes up space.
TalluimIts great for coffee and thats the substance that fills our flasks most of the time at High Camp HQ. The tumblers are double walled, so they work for hot liquids, and after 24 hours of hot coffee sitting in the flask, the temp stays above 120 degrees.

Now I know this isn't High Camp's page but I see them chiming in with comments. This is a really cool concept, especially for longer trips, but one made from titanium would be really slick. Probably way too expensive, but none of the other Ti flask manufacturers do one this big! May have to snag an SS one though 🤔

Have to start saving those pennies... In the meantime the stainless version still looks great!

Could just make it single walled, no good 750ml bottles out there with magnetic cup closures

Yeah the price is a bit much to stomach but I bit the bullet anyway. I haven't seen a better system for carrying & sharing whiskey which is a top priority in my travels. I've had other (more sleek) double walled 750ml bottles such as FIFTY/FIFTY but i'm getting a little old to be swigging $80 whiskey out of a bottle, or expecting my friends to do so. I own each stainless steel sized flask all the way up to the 1.75L one (it's huge) and i'm hoping this is the last large-capacity flask ill ever need. I can't really support the argument of cost based on including two more "double walled" glasses, that in of it'self doesn't justify the price. What I can say is it's always been annoying having to pass a bottle back & fourth. Especially if you're trying to be low key (at the beach), thats about as noticeable as it gets. I bring my 50/50 whenever I travel and just keep it empty for flights. Doubles as a water bottle when I need it, portable Mojito delivery system when I don't. In the end if you don't have high-capacity stainless steel flask capable of holding 750ml (and you drink/with friends), you should buy this. You could buy something cheaper but ultimately you should buy one good product that solves your use case rather than ~10 that get you close.

Top magnet is stronger than the bottom one. I’ve been using it pretty aggressively though and had no issues with it falling out, just be sure to keep the case for transport.

erikowahlbergThanks for the reply! Although I'd maybe feel more confident if the bottom attached as tight as the top it doesn't seem like it would come loose under any regular circumstance. P.s. your original comment of this thread was spot on.

is there any chance of this shipping before christmas?
aldellottoThese will be available by Christmas for sure. We will get them out of the warehouse by Friday when the drop is over and the PO has been placed.

I backed the kickstarter and have to say this is a pretty neat product, the double walls on the cup are thin and do not 100% prevent condensation but it is otherwise exactly what is advertised.
rat_bastardThanks RB! I hope you are enjoying the flask!

You'd think for ninety bucks they'd at least toss in a brown paper bag!
RayFThanks, Ray! No BPB, but the flask actually does comes with a black microfiber sleeve w/ a stainless cinch to tote the flask around in (& wipe out cups when re-attaching to flask), and the packaging is designed in the likeness of a top shelf bottle of scotch (pic below). Overall, its pricey, but we have the same cost as the sum of 2 brand-name insulated tumblers and a vacuum insulated flask... So, when comparing the Firelight Flask, which includes 2x threadless insulated tumblers + a 750ml 100% stainless vacuum-insulated flask, keep in mind its also custom-tooled, plastic free & offers a space-saving design.

nic_barisoneA black microfiber sleeve w/ a stainless cinch, you say? Well isn't that just ducky? There'll be, sitting on the sidewalk off D Street, just behind the Mission, and I'll reach into my torn and shabby overcoat and with a pair of mis-matched fingerless knit cloves, looking for a swing of Night Train, and all the fellows around the fire will begin to hoot 'n holler, and say: "Oh, well--look at Mr. Fancy-Pants! Say, that's not a 750ml 100% stainless vacuum-insulated flask, inside that black microfiber sleeve w/ a stainless cinch, is it?!" No way I'm taking a ribbing like that! I'm strictly the brown paper bag kind 'a guy--not some damn, Trump-support'n, hedge fund managing', one-percenter, who drinks out of a damn black microfiber sleeve w/ a stainless cinch!!! Least-wise, not in public anyway...

Here is a helpful GIF that shows how the pieces easily fit together. The tumblers secure seamlessly to the flask using a magnetic locking system.
PaigeDHey Paige - Thanks for sharing this image. This is key for the overall differentiation from the Firelight Flask and a thermos. No plastic parts & no threading. Just pull each cup and they pop right off and attach back on. We have some videos on our IG & Facebook that give the sound bite for the metal-on-metal un-sheathing. Its very gratifying.
