Can I put a thin laptop, a couple of books, and a small mirrorless camera (around 10 cm sideways)? I'm afraid the camera will bulge out too much...

@TeamHilly - While I love the look of the leather, I'm inclined to go with the nylon because my bags can get roughed up (scratches) -- are all the features the same (esp. water-resistant liner)?
(Edited)
T4DealsYes! You are correct, everything is the same except for the outer material.

For the brown leather version, is the strap brown as well? The video shows a black strap which I personally prefer. Is it possible to get a brown leather bag with a black strap?

Can I put a pair of binoculars inside this, along with the laptop? I guess this is really a question about how thick the padding is...

Thanks. Just to be clear, did you mean a waterproofing cream (haven't heard of those) or just a regular leather conditioning cream? I have the latter, but I didn't know they imparted any additional water resistance.
greyhameYou can use both depending on the conditions you want to prepare for. We would recommend against water proofing cream unless you were sure it wouldn’t contact your clothing as it might stain. Any leather conditioning will provide increased water resistance as it lessens the ability of the leather to hold additional moisture.

How durable is the leather? Is it susceptible to peeling or disintegrating like PU? Is it water resistant or will water damage it?
batsy0219It is Ricardo vegetable tanned full-grain leather. It will not peel. Like most veg tanned leather it isn’t naturally water proof. It’s good for light precipitation but will absorb water if exposed to moisture for extended periods. You can seal it with leather treatment and that will help with rain. It’s a high end natural leather that will patina over time. You can buff and polish to rejuvenate it when needed. Hope this helps!

What size laptop can fit in the bag? Can 16 inch laptop fit?

We posted a picture. Between the computer and the journals you should be able to see the padded sleeve. Please note that there is also a pad between the external laptop pocket and internal laptop sleeve so if you choose to carry two they will not knock on each other. Hope this helps!

We added one to the overview page, but here is another shot of the brown leather version.

Hi SuperHandsomeMan, We are truly sorry you’ve had this experience with our bag. Hopefully we can provide you with some tips that may help your concerns. If you’re not carrying a laptop, notebook or other firm items in your bag that give it some rigidity, try shifting the bottom strap from the bottom of the bag to the back panel when in messenger mode. This makes the strap is lay against the back panel so it doesn’t cradle the bottom and bunch up . It also makes the transition to backpack mode easier for some people. We also suspect the thumb tabs might be digging into your back, which is painful. When you clip the strap to the rings please make sure the tabs are facing away from the body. You can also reduce the strap in backpack mode to cinch it up so it rides higher. We threw an oversized slider on there so you can grab and adjust the strap on the fly. This will hopefully help you out with a bit more comfort in backpack style. If you want to set it up in messenger bag only mode and the strap is too long, try through-clipping the bag by fully reducing the strap and running it through the top ring and clipping it to the small space on the bottom ring between the leather loops. You can do one side or both as needed, this will give you an extra 4-8 inches of reduction in strap length and help the bag pivot on your side. Hopefully this helps! You can check out www.DiscoverHillside.com/pages/demo for help on the product. Thank you for your support regardless. We appreciate your feedback. Best, Team Hilly
