I Like it.
Mine came razer sharp with nice even bevels and no major defects. Came with a solid leather sheath and the knife is a nice snug fit. My only real complaint is that there was some sort of what I assume is buffing compound in the gimping of the knife. I had a fairly difficult time cleaning that out. Reading some of the reviews before I bought I was hesitant about their QC but I'm very happy with what I ended up receiving.

nice design with major defaults
first, i have to say that i read the reviews here, and decided to try it anyway... Which was quite stupid indeed... :-) The knive arrives with a nice shealth, but it's not possible to cut with it, i had to reprofile the edge with my wetstones, it takes at least 3 hours.

then yesterday, when i was "gently" batoning some lignt wood, i realised that the handle had cracked in the middle !

well i advised Drop about it, i was told that the 30 days warranty was over and basically, they can't do anything for me ... I am a bit desapointed and at least, they could have given me contact of the Hiro company, which does'nt seems to be anywhere in the web... :-(

freddy1Well, I'm not surprised with this issue, when you read the reviews, cracked tangs are common on this product, this knife is just good for display, it was an error trying to use it ... And the customer service is really under expectations ...

freddy1This looks like a recurrent major flaw in the making of this knife. While these things happen with industrial processes, I am very surprised about Drop's lack of acknowledgement despite the numerous occurrences of the same issue reported (what about the ones that weren't). This knife is just badly built and potentially dangerous, should it break while choping or applying pressure to cut some hard piece. I hope you find a satisfying solution with Drop,

I wanted to like it.
As others have mentioned my knife arrived with a crack showing at the top of the tang and it's V grind edge is dull and uneven. The cracks seem to be in the same spot on everyone's knives, a key flaw in the manufacturing. The sheathe is reasonably good. The website on the box takes you to a Macau gambling site. Ultimately I feel ripped off, China makes way better for far less. It's now a $99 gardening knife.

MCStriderMan, that’s a bummer. That is the factory that produces Falkniven and the Cold Steele SRK in 3V.

Great nordic inspired knife from the heart of blacksmithing in Japan
I'm pleased with the fit and finish of this knife. Although other have expressed concern of cracks in the tang, I'm not sore sure these are "cracks" but maybe a result of the forging process. I honestly don't think they stand a chance of breaking the knife. The sheath fits well, is snug and need no oil for break in. I'm stoked.

Beautiful
I am quite pleased with this knife. Others have complained about low quality, but my experience has been the opposite. It's beautiful to look at, feels good in the hand, and is quite sharp. The holster was a bit stiff at first, but holds the knife snuggly.

Eighth grade shop class could have done better!
Wow, I don't even know where to begin. An utter disappointment. Take a look at everyone's photos and add a few flaws. That pretty much sums it up.

I should have listened.
Edit: While taking pictures for customer service I noticed a crack in the tang.

I should have listened to the latest discussions on this knife and not bothered. What an absolute disappointment! The grind, if you want to call it that, is incomplete. It wavers with no direction, there's actually a rough section that looks like a half ass repair from damage. The scales have a gap. You have to fight to get the knife in the sheath, I know it's gotta be oiled and broken in but you have to pry and push to even start it.

VTDieselThanks for the insights. Even at USD99, it’s still reasonably expensive for a VG10. Coupled with all the feedback on quality, it’s a firm “passssssss”
