Thoroughly satisfied with this set!
Sharp, functional, and great feel in the hand. Love the tool roll as well for keeping them safe and tidy.

Cheaply made.
Every tool feels flimsy and loose. The file broke upon first use. I don't have a lot of faith in the rest of them lasting.

Functional, but nothing special.
The set is functional and attractive looking. I would add though that all of the tools feel a little cheaply made. The blades are all slightly wobbly and don't sit flush with the handle. If I could go back I would have shopped around to see what else was available. They do work and for everything you get it might they might be worth the money.

Made for right handed only
This product is only made for right handed people. The add was changed after my complaint. It also came with blades that were held firm into the Handle and drop says only the manufacturer can do anything about that.

Olde World feel, high quality tools
I was really surprised to see the negative review at the top of the list (from "Marz"). My set was nearly flawless. The tools have an "ancient craftsmanship" vibe that I rarely see outside of Japan. The handles are simple but well formed, and the rivets are all that is required - and nothing more - to hold everything together securely. I love the patina on the blades, and the grinds have a unique profile. They appear to have been honed/polished as well. I don't need to say this, but I will for completeness: the blades are "wicked sharp" as you would expect. Let's see how they hold up over time. The roll-up case is kind of old-school, providing excellent protection. I've never been a fan of tool rolls because I don't know a good way to store them compactly, but you can't argue with their functionality. All in all a very nice set and a great value in my opinion. I've used all but one or two and they made a great addition to my hand tool collection. I'd love to see Drop offering more items in this genre.

'Cheap'
The whole kit lacks a feeling of 'quality' and is more 'Harbor Freight' Grade Two of the tools in my kit were riveted into the handle off center

These are a sharp set of knives
shave your wood or shave your face (I know that didn't sound right but stay with me people) these knives are f*ing sharp! Did an arm hair test on arrival and this set of wood knifes shaves better then the BZ Dogtooth knife I also just got (Still an extremely nice flipper if you are in the market) since the dogtooth wasn't razor sharp (again, don't let this disuade you, its not meanth for shaving just as this set is not). The Steel quality on this set is some of the best I've seen in wood carving tools and I am super excited to finish some projects with this set but I had to mention the epic build quality (wood knifes aren't always the best quality) and the honed edge on each knife. More than impressed and if you need a quality set of wood carving knives you can trust will accomplish the job you set them to (within reason) then press the button and smile when opening the package (you don't want to forget to smile from the shock and awe do you?). These are very nice knives and I would trust them to get through any wood project I might need them for (even ebony, although these dense woods will certainly require you to sharpen/hone the edge more often which is standard with any knife). Sorry for the run on but the pandemic is keeping me busy these days so I hope this helps someone out here!

This knife/carvings set is exactly what the doctors ordered, the handles are comfortable in your hands and the blades come sharp. Ready to start carving right out of the box.

Solid set. Could arrive sharper.
Just about everything you need and more to carve. Could arrive sharper as some of mine needed attention at the start but that is kinda expected. All in all really pleased.
