I was really surprised to see the negative review at the top of the list (from "Marz"). My set was nearly flawless.
The tools have an "ancient craftsmanship" vibe that I rarely see outside of Japan. The handles are simple but well formed, and the rivets are all that is required - and nothing more - to hold everything together securely. I love the patina on the blades, and the grinds have a unique profile. They appear to have been honed/polished as well. I don't need to say this, but I will for completeness: the blades are "wicked sharp" as you would expect. Let's see how they hold up over time.
The roll-up case is kind of old-school, providing excellent protection. I've never been a fan of tool rolls because I don't know a good way to store them compactly, but you can't argue with their functionality.
All in all a very nice set and a great value in my opinion. I've used all but one or two and they made a great addition to my hand tool collection. I'd love to see Drop offering more items in this genre.
