Don't know anything about wood working, are these tools for carving small furniture and joints--like small boxes ect, wood sculptures or more for wood reliefs?

lobsterI recognize some of these tools from a few wood carving classes I took last year. We used a curved knife similar to the one in the middle to carve spoons -- and a more traditional knife to carve butter knives in a separate class. Each class was only a few hours long but I was addicted for a while and carved a few more spoons and knives for fun at home.
