Questions for anyone who has this set: 1. How good is the fit and finish? 2. How sharp are they and did they need much work to polish and finish before use? 3. How well do you think they would fit in large hands (XL glove size)?

gaknak1. fit and finish is good, the blades are straight, the handle is finished well without gaps. The finish is not as good as a custom knife. I would say the finish is about as good as a decent set of kitchen cutlery for the same price. 2. the blades are polished and sharp. they don't need to be sharpened before use. Angles appear consistent but one thing everyone should know--the knife blades are chisel ground for right hand use. This was not mentioned in the description, but it should be. 3. I have xl hands. the handles are thin--like kitchen steak knife thin, but they are fine for me. The tools are definitely more suited for fine tasks rather than making a large piece of furniture.

gaknak1. Fit and finish better than illustrated and discrided. 2. As sharp as my #11 exacto blades, teac handles are also well finished.. 3. I also wear xl work gloves and the handles fit my hands well all in all a well made high quality set an excellent value.
