I have the full size AXIS. I think it's a good knife, though the handle ergonomics leave something to be desired. The edges of the bevels are somewhat sharp, and the curve that your index finger wraps around is especially troublesome.
The knife seems really tough. AXIS lock is superb. The blade is thick, so it's more of a tough knife than a slicey knife. This is probably even more apparent in the Mini if the thickness is the same.
The AXIS lock on mine seemed kind of gritty. I cleaned it off and put on some DuPont dry wax/Teflon lubricant and it's much, much better. Not glassy smooth yet, but pretty smooth.
I don't EDC my full size AXIS much at all. If I had the Mini, I'd probably carry it around all the time.
