Re: differences and concerns compared to V1 -
Vendor has informed me of this list of improvements that have been changed since the first run of the wrist rests.
The factory will increase 2 mm of the wrist rest’s thickness to improve rigidity, and reduce the rubber feet’s height in order to keep the product’s dimensions the same as before.
We will change to a tougher material of resin, and increase the resin solidification time from 24 hours to 48 hours. The 24 hours stiffness is 72-82, and the 48 hour curing time will be over 85.
We will reinforcing the wrist rest with an acrylic board inside the resin.
SpencerLHopefully this will fix the warping over time that has happened to EVERYONE (including myself) from the first drop that DROP refuses and refused to fix or address as it was "past the return period" 😡. They ALL DROOPED IN THE MIDDLE IF USING THE INCLUDED FEET SO THEY ARE BOWED. This is a classic sign of resin that isn't fully cured.
I really like mine, but I use mine on a full desk pad so its less noticeable.
SpencerLI'm waiting on mine but I ordered the full size instead of tkl... is there any way to reach out to the manufacturer to shorten mine to tkl size? Or perhaps I can do it on my end somehow?
This manufacturer is now selling another wrist rest, but no updates on when the previous orders will be fulfilled, very disappointed by drop, sometimes it's worth paying a bit extra but getting stuff on time when buying from other websites.
"Due to an unexpected delay, these orders may ship later than the original estimated ship date. Our apologies for any inconvenience. If we find that the drop is going to be delayed by more than 30 days, we will let you know. If you prefer to cancel your order, you may locate your order and cancel by going to drop.com/transactions. You will be able to do this up until it is ready for shipment."
It was understandable getting an email a month ago saying it would be delayed, but it has* been a month since: Any update at this time would be appreciated!
YoyokrazyI feel like because this drop is low in number, its not a high profile drop for them... thus no communication... any of the popular drop (i.e. holy panda switches) gets tons of updates, even if nothing is actually updated, they are still there to notify all.
Hi team,
Is basic courtesy so hard? I had to mail support twice because there was a typo with the 1st response to me.
It is already the 22 of December I need to follow-up again on a deadline you imposed yourself?
Again is basic courtesy so hard? You have had my money since June. A monthly update won't hurt IF all we are going to get again is this is because of the pandemic? I am not being insensitive but
NOT HAVING COMMUNICATION IS UNACCEPTABLE AND THAT IS THE POINT.
Hopefully the admin dealing with this drop is not someone who has a short fuse like the guy from the Holy Panda drop that will come and tell me that people like me are nitpicking or feeling cool for dissing support and complaining just for the sake of it.
Best regards,
ricson.chuaClosing the loop on this. Received a notification for shipping 2 weeks ago and received the item today. I am somewherein Southeast Asia everyone else may want to check their shipping status.
