Last month I had the opportunity to tour the Hoffman “ mill” where these fabrics are truly all done by hand. (World of Quilts Travel) The only mechanization was the rolling of the bolts and laser cutting for the Bali Pops and I would guess things like these quarter yard lengths. We all agreed that we would never complain about the price of batiks again. That said, for the same price as here, I will buy local if and when I ever run out of what I bought in Bali.

Thanks for pointing that out - I read the size but I'm so used to fat quarters that I didn't notice. That's actually a really good price for half yards.

Am I correct in assuming all the bundles are the same — that is, there's no "decision" to be made such as warm colors versus cool colors, or brights versus neutrals?

It really depends on where you live. Around here, this quality of batiks would easily be $14-15 a yard. Buying online would add lots of postage.

How is a rectangle a square? These are half yard cuts.

pyromarYes you are correct. These are indeed half yard cuts measuring 18" x 43/44”. This fabric retails for $12.99- $14.99 per yard. This is a great deal! Shipping on this drop was free as well.
