SickMedsA quick search shows $67 at www.bhphotovideo.com. Good for all the Nikon buyers last weekend. I got the Nikon NC lens protectors and cheap Ritz camera schott glass filters. When you're looking at lenses, anything in front of them needs to be as good or better than the lens itself. They only show 52, 55, 58, 62, 67, 72, 77mm.
enlisted23Thx for input, I have now on my macro lens cheap Tiffen UV protector so I think I'll go for polarised 55mm from Hoya, hopefully will see some difference
SickMedsI have noticed that the schott glass has a green tint. It's tempting. I was comparing the Nikon CP with the Hoya hd3 and it seems the Hoya should be a little better for about the same (sale) price.
enlisted23What do you mean by a green tint? Reflected light appears green OR the pass-through (transmitted) light appears to have a green skew? Surface coatings on the glass will often induce a reflected color 'tint.'
Edit: I wish they had 49mm size too
