these are the best tree straps on the market period...BAR none! Not only are they the lightest on the market they are the easiest tree straps to adjust. They have a video on Youtube from hummingbird hammock with a single hammock from them and these straps holding 600lbs plus, NO BS check it out and if you want the best and lightest for your hammock camping this company can't be beat

HSVJerryThese are actually not the lightest on the market. The lightest and best hammock gear comes from Dutch Gear, the guy who invented the Dutch Clip. Go visit Dutch Gear and then you'll really see how light hammock gear can get. His Kevlar straps and whoopie slings are about half the weight of this offering, if I remember correctly. Don't get me wrong, this stuff looks great, but don't think it hasn't been invented before... it has.

KlagsI know about dutch gear and all they have to offer however i think a novice hammock camper would struggle with dutch ware as to this system takes maybe a 5 min learning curve. You can go make whoopie slings from homedepot for less than 10 bucks and be about the same weight however the quaility of Humming bird hammock is un beatable.

KlagsAccording to Dutch Gear website 4' Kevlar 2.2 Hugger with 2 whoopie slings on both sides weights 68.9 grams and cost $53. Just I don't understand if these straps include their button link to attach whoopie to continuous loop or no. Because if it does and its still 65 gr, then dutch gear straps with dutch clip for connection are 85 gr and $71

jecletI bought the setup with the whoopie slings and 5' Kevlar 2.2 strap set. I just put it on my scale and that weighs exactly 68 grams on my scale, right now. Hope that helps for comparison. It would likely be more expensive than this deal, and its barely a weight difference so I am not trying to harp on that at all. Just wanted to point out the dutch wear gear site in case you hadn't heard of them. :)
Klags I sure love me some dutchware gear but I don't believe your statement is wholly accurate. His standard package of straps, clips and whoopie slings (4ft strap) clocks in at 3.6 ounces. Whoopie slings alone lock in at 1.5 ounces for the thinner diameter plus his straps (6ft) at 70 grams pair translates into roughly 4 oz sans dutch bling . I don't see a material listed for his straps put assuming poly instead of nylon they will stretch a little less. Since this package clocks in at 2.4, the hummingbird is lighter based on anything I can find on Dutchweargear.com So I can't back up your belief that the dutch gear is lighter, but I can present evidence to the contrary :)
