Will this work for a tablet? Particularly a Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2?

BiffsBizIt should. We use it for our Tab S3 all the time, and it's rock solid.

Looks like you need to have adhesive to mount device. Is this the case?

phila58It's designed so that your device just sits in the stand; the intention is not that the device is permanently attached. If you wanted to do that, however, there are lots of ways you could accomplish it with this product.

Amazon has practically this identical stand only made by Tecboss and $4 cheaper with Prime shipping. https://www.amazon.com/Tecboss-Multi-Angle-Adjustable-Desktop-Nintendo/dp/B06XSZCTX3/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=tecboss+stand&qid=1555257695&s=gateway&sr=8-1 if this stand is basically the same quality, expect the sticky rubber pads to slide and get sticky residue on your device. It’s not terrible, however.

Can it hold a phone that has a case on it? I mean a slim case, like an Otterbox Commuter.

NorthernHarrierYes it can, you need to play with it a little to test where is the best balance so it does not tilt to front of back. I got 5 people wanting to get one, so I direct them to here or Amazon, is their choice.

https://smile.amazon.com/Adjustable-Foldable-iPhone-Charging-Tablets/dp/B07DQGCPH8 Blue one comes with the charging cable. There is a lot of these on Amazon in all colors and designs, I got mine on a Lighting Deal and it was even cheaper.

I have this exact same product, but a different brand, that I got off of Amazon years ago. I actually have two as they are amazing stands. I love the rubberized feet for that anti-slip grip as well as the rubberized back where your device goes. Works well for my switch and my phone when sitting on my desk. I think the brand I got on Amazon was Lamicell? They were about this price when I got mine so might want to go check that out if you can get free shipping as prices might be comparable.

NemuSame, and I got the Lamicall in a flash deal for $6.99 - I would check amazon unless you really need to have the polished edges. That is the only difference I can see...one of the two I bought is sitting on my desk 2 feet from me as I type this...

NemuI was going to say the same thing. https://amzn.to/2tpoJmu The hinges are very smooth but hold up a decent weight. The pads are nice and soft so they won't damage your device.
