Ok people, I purchased one of these things in the last drop, and I've added a 32gb card. There are some odd situations where perfectly normal MP3 files simply won't play. For those that play everything is fine. This also happens with some FLAC files, but much more rarely. Has anyone noticed anything like this happening? And is there is a fix?
Some more information:
1. I've reset the device and the issue reoccurs on the same audio files.
2. I've tested the MP3 files on both external card and internal memory, and it is an issue that is related to the audio file.
3. It occurs mainly when you select an MP3 file, and it goes to the scanning media page, and then jumps out without playing the music.
EDIT: And I have found a fix for this problem. Basically, you have to leave enough room on the main disk for the device to be able to scan the library. I filled the main disk so full that the device wasn't able to scan any further media when I entered the new SD card, and then some of the music wouldn't play. I moved one of the albums from the internal memory to the SD card and then the music would play.
I'm guessing that means it uses internal memory as a scratch pad/swap space. Good thing I consider that internal memory as simply space to put the firmware update.
Yes, I've been testing, and basically it seems that it also does something with the album art, so since I had a lot of that, it cached it somewhere.
Other than that, this has been the best portable FLAC player I've ever used. Sounds excellent, and will _now_ play absolutely anything.
