Just got my Icebreaker vest. It is really light and thin, not sure how much warmth it will really add. Also the zipper is installed backwards, which is minor, but seems like kind of a sign that these are factory rejects?

At last a current season item! These tops are awesome, they are very technical, slim fitting with a great warmth to weight ratio. Incredible price too. I guess people hate the blue with red details colorway. I do too, but at this price it's worth it.

This is a great price for Canada, even taking into account the currency exchange and the shipping. Do these run a bit tight? Usually for these kind of garments, I choose L, but it is in situations where XL is the largest size offered by the manufacturer. Here Icebreaker offers XL and XXL; does it mean that the L is a bit tight (closer to an "average M") and that I should go one size up? My chest is around 43" but since these garments should be worn pretty close to the body, I am not sure if I should stay with XL ( as I've just ordered) or get L? Edit: for the sake of anyone reading this in the future; I ended up ordering the XL and it was perfect. I am 1.75 meter tall, a bit on the muscular / bulky side at 95 kg.

BobrazIcebreaker has "relaxed", "regular" and "slim" tops. This is a slim fit top. I find the Icebreaker slim fit tops to be close fitting but not tight (only the baselayers are tight). Also you are right, this is a technical top that is designed to be worn close to the body. I'm a bit chunky at times but I wear the right size for my measurements because otherwise the lengths are wrong. It's not particularly flattering but much more functional.

matt999Ummm, so in your opinion, should I stay at XL? With a 43" chest? Even if I buy L in most other garments?

Massdrop should be better about including women's options. It's disappointing to see how many drops only offer men's sizing.

sostwaldhttps://www.massdrop.com/buy/icebreaker-women-s-merino-dia-long-sleeve-zip I mean it's not the same thing, but given the concurrency and same brand...

XenoMuseNice jacket, but it's "lifestyle" not suitable for activity. The Tech Trainer jacket comes in a women's version. The icebreaker women's range has more "lifestyle" gear but the outdoor/technical pieces they do have are just as good as the mens. It's pity Massdrop doesn't get them.

They should post the shipping on the front page. They have no problem telling you when shipping is free. No need to hide it. :)

ScroOh I see your point! But you know that shipping at Massdrop is variable, depending on the destination, and they have several shipping partners (for different purposes). So I think sometimes they could not possibly list every shipping cost combination possible, that's why it's presented to you at checkout. Other times, I see shipping costs presented upfront, I guess it's because it's more standard for some products? It's a very variable situation I've seen.
