I love both my Icebreaker leggings, I have a 150 weight (pre-Anatomica line) which I use in the warmer winter hikes and under jeans for walking around. I also have a pair of 300 (iirc) weight for seriously cold overnighters. I've had them both for about at least 5 or 6 years now.

TinCanFuryI love mine too. You generally get what you pay for with Icebreaker. I have almost a dozen of their pieces and they all look as good as the day I bought them. Except the t-shirt my cat tore while spazzing out trying to climb off of me. That one... That one isn't doing so well. RIP.

I'm border line medium-large, as far as sizing goes. Any suggestions on which way I should lean? Does anyone know if these run small or large? Appreciate the help.

Would these be overkill for just staying warm throughout the day? I tend to get and keep a chill during winter days and am determined to shake that this winter.

Serious_Lee@Serious_Lee - These are made from some of the lightest merino wool available, which is ideal for every day use like you're talking about. A heavier wool would be too warm, and probably be too bulky to fit under most pants. But these are luxurious to wear every day and do the trick for me. I live in California and wear these on the colder winter days, plus whenever I go skiing (under my shell pants). When I travel to legitimately cold places, like northern Wisconsin, I wear these every day under my regular pants - jeans, slacks, corduroys - and they keep me warm. Hope this info helps!

Serious_LeeLike Danny said. Perfect for your use. I have a pair with a bit of elastic weaved in (slightly different than these) which I use generally under slacks and jeans in the winter, and they are easily one of my top buys ever. Changed winter for me.

Would anybody recommend these for running? Really tempted to jump in on this one .

Thanks for the information. I live in Minneapolis so running at temps below 55° is pretty common. I think you are right about the synthetic versus wool in terms of longevity though. I'll have to think about this one. It's a great deal!

Braxton@Braxton - sorry, I could have clarified that a bit more. While I start wearing leggings under my running shorts for temp under 55 degrees, I'll wear this weight (150gsm) leggings for temps from 15-55 degrees. I'll add wind shell or rain shell pants when necessary, but shorts are usually sufficient. I spend a good part of most winters in Wisconsin and know this works from experience, so it would probably be a good fit for your needs too.
