I don 't own this jacket but I've tried it on in a store. It's a great jacket, especially at this price. It's at the slim-fit and technical end of Icebreaker's range. One thing to note, it's only 38% merino but 46% nylon. This will make it durable and wick better but it will lose some of the nice qualities of merino like softness and odour resistance. In their newer technical jackets, Icebreaker seem to have gone back to a high proportion of merino combined with a minor proportion of nylon and lycra. Their spinning technology seems to have improved because the newer high-percentage merino seems to wick much better than it used to. Having said that, Icebreaker is expensive and for a high quality warm technical jacket this is a bargain.

I'm in-between M-L sizes (39 inch chest) and I'm not sure which way to go. I want it to be form fitting but not tight. Anyone have experience with this jacket. Does it run big/small? True to size?

Hwood1I have a different Icebreaker jacket, the Men's Transit, but I'd assume this Tracer one has similar sizing. They have a slim/athletic fit, but are otherwise fairly true to size. I'd say you should go with a Medium; that should make it more form-fitting for you but not too tight. Hope that helps!

jimmymhoIcebreaker runs true to size, but this is a slim fitting jacket. However I'd still go with an M, it will be too long in an L and it works better with a slim fit.

I’ve been looking for a merino or cotton, full zip exactly like this except as a hoodie. It doesn’t seem to exist. Add a hood with these same specs, and I’m in.
