It would be cool if this supported 2 or 3 wide spacebars, but I suppose it's a bit difficult to figure out where exactly people would want them. Still, I can hope! Or drill my own holes...
Just bind two or more switches to space. Same thing.
Pressing a 2u spacebar in the middle is not the same as pressing two 1u keys in between them, no. Not even close.
You can bind space to anywhere you want. I have several places on my layout with space. You are not restricted to just binding space to the bottom middle of the keyboard.
You must be special because you completely missed the point. Some people have grown accustom to hitting that mid point on a keyboard. With 2 1u keys your finger, most likely thumb, will land in the crevice beteeen the two keys. I am in this boat. I like the comfort of a bigger than 1u space and I’m not about to train that attachment away.
Maybe you will be stuck "thinking inside the grid" regardless of what I tell you, but binding space to the point in between two switches is impossible no matter how hard you try. Unless, of course, the PCB supports it from the beginnnig.
I have the same issue. I would have bought this long ago if it had 2u space options.
