North-facing switches in 2021? Really?
Considering that every single one of their other boards are south facing, means that they must be targeting a specific crowd that likes RGB backlighting of some kind since it just doesn't make sense in comparison to their other boards, nor would it make sense for them to sell it to non-rgb lovers since majority of competitor 65% boards out there are south facing switches now.
But aside from that issue, at least the stabs are good. (Or at the least, they have the potential to be good) Which other competitor 65% boards seem to struggle to add to their boards, so great on IDOBAO for doing.
At this price range though, unless you really want an alu 65% hotswap board that compliments rgb backlighting for translucent keycaps, it is hard to recommend this board as the north facing switches will interfere with a lot of cherry-profile keycap sets. Be warned.

Dang, I know I said I would test, but I am afraid I only tested with GMK and ePBT and both had that issue. I have not tested with JTK, but I will assume that JTK will be the same as double-shot ePBT and GMK (similar thickness). I have not tested HK Gaming though and do not remember NK PBT or other PBT sets (like the GMK clones).
Someone once showed me a vid or picture of the problem, or the part that causes the interference. The interference is caused by the ribs on the keycaps, specifically the ribs that support the stem ring/cylinder. The ribs hit the switch housing. So check the ribs out on your keycaps. I know some have some aggressive ribs and others have shallow ribs.

Drop, y'all gotta stop casually rolling through the ship date and not updating people at all on what's happening. It's normal to this hobby when it really shouldn't.

AirlieI ordered parts for the ID67 directly from IDOBAO and they were shipped like 2 days ago, probly the same thing for drop the delay may not be very long

Hi everyone, I checked our system and it has been shipped to our US warehouse a while ago, all the keyboards are currently on their way by boat so it is taking a little longer than expected. That being said, tracking shows that it should land in about a week! After that, our fulfillment team will be processing and shipping them out to your doors ASAP.

For an Alu kit that comes with case foam, plate foam and good stabs at $120, I was almost ready to pull the trigger. And then... of course it is north facing.
I understand that for RGB backlighting, it is not exactly a "wrong" choice, though certainly not an optimal one in 2021. However, I find it really misleading to use GMK keycaps in the photos. Drop also does not mention that this is North Facing and I have to find this in the discussion. This could be very misleading for beginners.

I don't think they are that bad lol. Not sure if they are actually shiny and slippery either. In terms of pricing, if you do group buy, they are not *that* bad. Also you have to remember that it is not just GMK, it is all cherry profile keycaps. For many beginners, cherry profile is still the most widely available choice (by a huge margin actually).
With that being said, I prefer MT3 over Cherry unless I really need to type fast for long sessions. MT3 is not really that much cheaper though and there are only few options available.

Hmmm you got me there. I never looked into the problem that much tbh. You probably know more than I do at this point. My philosophy is always to avoid a potential problem all together so I won't have it on my mind constantly.
Unless this is going to be your only board, you can always get it for non-Cherry keycaps, such as SA and MT3. Personally, I actually prefer MT3 anyway. I actually have a YMDK Melody 96, which is north facing. I keep my MT3 keycaps on there all the time.
