It looks good until it get covered by microscratches and fingerprints. Frosted surface is more practical and easier to refinish. I could understand if it was a hi end showpiece board, but in this case gloss finish is not the best choice.
Noted, told the manufacturer and they will consider a frosted variant in the future. The transparent acrylic style is synonymous with the "Crystal" model :) As someone who owns a few frosted polycarbonate cases, they tend to pick up scratches and "rub" marks more visibly but I do like the look of them.

I really like how this looks - really wish it had Bluetooth/Wireless support.

I'm new to the hobby and paying someone else to build this for me so I appreciate everything being bundled together. I just want something cute to type on that reminds me of the "transparent electronics" craze in the early 00's. This fits the bill. Glad it comes out in January just in time for the builder to finish it for my birthday in February.

Just for future reference to save up some money consider trying novelkeys silk switches. They are decently prelubed with 205g0 and perfect for people who doesn't feel like lubing.

Looks kind of cheap, like breakable. And $300+ is way to much for ugly looking keyboard. Clearly this is not for me, not only because price tag but the looks, the layout also is not one of my favorites. I can´t see why anyone want to spend $300 on this, there is beautiful and more practical kits out there, even here on Drop.

I promise you, the Poly is a more durable plastic than ABS. But more expensive. Look at the Mode SixtyFive for instance... The poly build cost $35 more than the full alum build... Poly allows for a deeper sound signature as well. Even ABS cases allow for a more thocky sound than any alum board I've heard thus far. Look at a KBD67 Lite and compare it to the KBD67 V3 case. I have owned both and I prefer the ABS case > the Alum case solely based on the flex and sound signature the ABS case had that the Alum case did not... Also; the switches alone cost nearly $100. This is a steal...

I prefer a wooden case over ABS, because of the sound and feel, but I do prefer modding the case to achieve the sound I like over buying overpriced kits. I understand this is a niche and you will pay premium tax for something unique, but I am like those guys that change keycaps, switches and cases all the time, I cant use one mix for too long. Also my wallet doesn´t allow me to dive much deeper into this hobby so I have to use what I can. Usually I pick a kit under 100 usd with all the characteristics that i need and one or two cases that I would like to use, then I focus on switches and keycaps, I already have the core so now I can focus on typing. To try new switches, a nice keycap set and I'm done. This kit may be a deal for some of you and thats is valid because it adjust to your needs, maybe is just one more for the collection. I am not into that, I don´t collect keyboards, but I do occasionally buy cases/keycaps that I could put together to spice up my keyboard. What I am most interested of all is the pcb, that's is the one piece that will allow me to have a better experience at building and using the keyboard and It may be this way for a lot of you guys here. The point here, and I know it may be upsetting, is why I should spent 300+ in something that I would not be using that much anyway, this hobby is about customization, there is not one keyboard to rule them all, is all about personal taste. So if this keyboard is to your liking then buy it, but take in consideration why, I think if you pay 300+ usd for a keyboard you better use it. Not the same for keycaps, keycaps are love.

That's for the bare-bones kit. This includes Holy Panda switches, Art.-bloom caps, and a matching wrist rest. The switches alone make this a good deal.

I'm sure the average Drop buyer can't wait to buy keycaps they definitely don't have and switches they absolutely need, why choose if you can just be forced to get them and spend more money

My dudes at Drop really need to get more ISO supporting keyboards and keycap sets
(Edited)
The dudes at IDOBAO unfortunately only have an ANSI version at the moment, but we are looking into getting more ISO support across keyboard offerings. Almost all keycap sets have ISO support.

I like the wrist rest and the switches. But not the keycaps. Possible if you provide an option to exclude the caps set?
Unfortunately the bundle is how we were able to negotiate and land at the competitive price. I understand it's not ideal, but keycaps can always be changed out ;)

You guys have your nose on the ground sniffing out the latest trends in mechs, but end up executing things in the most tone-deaf fashion. No self-respecting keyboard enthusiast wants a kit with switches and caps included and almost everyone who actually wants switches and keycaps included doesn't even know what a gasket mount is. You could've kept the overpriced switches and BoW caps off and at least tried to match the taobao prices with a barebones kit, but here we are again.

And well beware, too many experts can kill a hobby.... Some people here obviously missed the point they could get the barebones kit directly from IDOBAO after all. Why complain about a kit that wasn't meant for them. Just saying.

I'm have to order something from them to get a feel for myself. This kit is ok for people getting into the hobby a tad expensive though.
