Some comments on here about connections so I'd thought I'd 'drop' this in. Excuse the pun, it's relatively early in the UK...

ifi-audio_VicCan the DAC’s usb-b input be plugged to output of an iPhone or iPad ? (Lightning for iPhone or usb-c for iPad Pro)? Does that work out ?

PeteMtlHi there. This should be okay when the ZEN DAC Signature is being powered by 5 volts as it is normally USB powered.

ifi-audio_VicMy question is regarding the sound: may you clarify, is it possible to input data to the usb in of the DAC if the source is digital data is provided by an IOS device (iPad through usb-c port or iPhone through lightning port using I guess the Apple usb camera adaptors, usb-c to usb-a or lightning to usb-a)? Is is compatible? I do not want to purchase the DAC if I cannot use it with the digital output of my iOS device... if it’s not possible, I will skip the DAC and buy only the headphone amp... I was on the very edge of ordering both the DAC and amp yesterday but this iOS compatibility question is crucial to my decision to hit the purchase button...

PeteMtlHi - as long as you use the Apple CCK in between your iPhone and the DAC you should be absolutely fine.
