I’ve been a user and fan of iFi audio for years (currently I own the iFi xDSD and the hip-dac), the two headphones I currently own are closed back, Shure SRH1540 and Beyerdynamic T90 Chrome. In search for my first open back headphones I tried the Sennheiser HD 6XX that a friend lent me for a week and although I enjoy the open sound and soundstage that a open back headphone provides, and the brilliantly executed midrange of the HD 6XX, I found myself wanting more Bass and a little more brightness in the high range. Now the iFi ZEN CAN Signature in conjunction with ZEN DAC Signature seem to be the ideal complement to Sennheiser HD 6XX, If there is a company I trust to create a analog equalization in the right way is iFi audio, since the first time I pressed the xBass button on the first iFi device I had, I couldn't live without it. They know how to equalize without altering the entire frequency range. So the bad news for my wallet is that I'm going to pull the trigger not only for the ZEN CAN and DAC Signature but also for the Sennheiser HD6XX And I can't wait to have them home!
