Just got mine in and plugged it into my computer...and got a "USB device not recognized" message.
Anyone know what's going on? I just took the board out of the box!
TKTKI just heard back from Massdrop. They're going to try to send replacement boards for those of us who have received defective ones.
So if you have a broken board: contact Massdrop ASAP.
JonathanKrohnLuckily i was able to fix mine. I opened it up and the usb connector was not properly connected to the pcb. After plugging it in correctly everything works like a charm. I hope that you get a replacement though, sucks to wait so long for a board and then get a defective one. Best of luck.
JonathanKrohnReally hard to get a photo of that, but basically there are like 10 screws holding the board together. Just unscrew those and open it up carefully. You will have to disconnect a wire in order to fully seperate the board. That wire was not correctly plugged in for me, which is why the board didnt turn on. You can always try just reconnecting the wire, it might help.
JonathanKrohnthis is happening to me too, i also got the ikbc mf 108 version of the board, and the same exact thing had happened and its quite irritating. Also it felt like the micro usb didnt want to go in the port on the keyboard all the way, but the computer still recognized it and stated that it was malfunctioned.
