PeasUsing the closed comb side should be very easy if you're not planning to press the razor into your face. The blades itself will save you quite a bit of money unless you really get into the art as a hobby. For the price you're paying for this razor, there are many other choices that are more favourable for a beginner. i.e. EJ89

I'm currently using some Gillette with disposable heads which I haven't even changed in around 6 months. Obviously not very high on the shaving hog because I'm a tightwad and would rather feel each hair getting tugged than pay $20 for more heads.
