When this razor was first being sold, the manufacturer sold off a bunch of these that were "blemished" for $60 each. I hear that the imperfections were barely noticeable, but the razor itself is extremely popular among wet shavers. As for the learning curve, it's not that difficult to make the transition. It's very difficult to actually cut yourself with one of these razors, but you can get razor burn if you aren't careful. There are endless numbers of videos on this subject if you want to learn. I will advise that the Treet blades included aren't the best. If you are new to this, I recommend some Astra SP blades. You can get 100 for about $10 on Amazon. The average person will use a blade 4 times before changing it, so that box will last you more than a year.
