I own one of these shavecraft closed comb heads (albeit on a similar Weber handle). No problems at all with it. F&F is first rate, and the aluminum is uncoated, so there's nothing to flake off or chip.
Cleans up easy, and is pretty mild. I'd call this a slightly more aggressive Parker 24/26C, but it's a little less tall and easier to get into tight corners.
It's almost worth the price just for the handle, which will work with any 3 piece razor and features proper deep knurling for grip.

cawpinUm, no damn way they have anything copareable for the price. If they had say a king cobra in stock, maybe but they are $199! Everything else is pot metal Parker, Murker ect. Now they shave aOk but not a patch on the iKon series! This will be my 2nd O/C iKon (the first came on a bamboo handle) and i have 2x101's as well as the TECH. The ONLY iKon i steer clear of is DLC, coated iKons as the coating will get scratched over time. Just look at your non-scratch frypans after some use and abuse; but they are great razors and they wont rust! Next step up is the ABOVE THE TIE in cost at $175 then the WOLFMAN's @$250+. The iKon is every bit as good, or better IMO at a fraction of thoes prices!

I have both the Shavecraft Tech and the Teflon coated iKon Standard and OC razors. Sure the iKons look cooler, but the Tech shaves better than the OC for me and and about the same or better than the standard and its roughly half the price.

the weber can usually be fixed pretty easy and be made straight. love my weber but like my ikon stuff much more. i agree the shavecraft heads are not the best ikon but realize the head only is like 40$ and the handles are great. never had a shavecraft peel on me yet

About Weber — guess I was lucky to get a good one. Great mild shaver. But as implied, the razor heads are no longer available. However, the company still has a website where they sell their handles. In my opinion, iKon handles have a nicer finish and look brighter and a bit more refined.
