Ok, Sure, it’s expensive and eyeing bleedingly bright. But this light is not intended for the average Joe. 1) Someone who has $600 to waste buying the brightest flashlight in the world to impress their friends. This can get old fast, will go unused for long periods, only to be sold on eBay later. 2) Flashaholic Collectors. For those completists that have to have the brightest flashlight in the world in their collection (yes, there are flashlight collectors). 3) Actual Search and Rescue personnel for whom having the brightest light could mean life or death for someone. Bear in mind, as with many of these super lights, you don’t really buy them for 30 or 60 secs of Turbo. You get them for the long runtimes at lower outputs. 10,000 for 3.5 hrs or 5,000 for nearly 7 hours. Imagine lighting up a whole campsite all evening with a single light. Or at lower outputs, inside a tent for your whole trip without recharging. Or lighting a home during power outages for hours or days at a time. THAT’S where lights like this really (forgive me) shine. 🤓 Now, if we can get Drop to feature Imalent’s DT and DX models at discount then I would be interested. 🤗
