This limited edition pasta machine made by Imperia has a nonstick coating making it easier to use, easier to clean and guarantees that no chromium plating will ever be transferred to your homemade pasta." -Imperia. Also the finish is different, this machine has a satin finish and the V500 is chrome plated aluminum. I hope this helps.

kstokleyThanks for explaining the differences. It was hard to tell since they look so similar. Now that you mention it though I can see the difference of the finish compared to the one on amazon.

kstokleySo they opted to only nonstick-coat this limited edition knowing the benefit, and then proceeded to neglect the mass produced retail version?
