I've spent some time with the Zen 2 and holy cow... Clarity, for a 2-driver IEM, is off the charts. Build, accessories, comfort, and sound is excellent. I'm surprised more people aren't talking about these. For $300, it's easy to recommend them. There are only 2 caveats that I've found with the sound: There is some minor sibilance with certain songs. I can't stress the minor part enough. It's not an issue for me but if you're especially treble sensitive then it's something to consider. Treble extension isn't the best I've heard but it's still very good for a 2-driver IEM. BA bass. With simple music, like many pop songs, the sound is on the warm side of neutral. With busier music, the bass starts to disappear into the background and the sound becomes more neutral. This is an issue with every 1-2 driver BA IEM I've ever heard. The issue starts to fix itself when there are 3 or more drivers. Still, this is also a fairly minor issue and it doesn't exhibit itself as dramatically as other good 2-driver implementations such as in the Jays Q-Jays ($300 USD). Also, bass extension isn't the best. It's good, but not great. The bass, while nice in quantity, has very little impact. This is another thing BA drivers tend to struggle with. For example, the Zen 2 sounds warm with: Swim - Fickle Friends Hold Steady - Kacey Johansing The Mother We Share - CHVRCHES I O U - You Me At Six The bass and lower midrange start to deplete, making the tonal balance more of a neutral with busier tracks like: Boston - Augustana Come On - Green River Ordinance Not the American Average - Asking Alexandria The Way of the Fist - Five Finger Death Punch Welcome to the Black Parade - My Chemical Romance Disease - Beartooth
