I got mine, testing that the lcd come on before building and the USB C connectors do not hold the USB C cable in and actually push it out. If you push really firmly in the lcds do come on though.. Definitely feels that the ports are defective
My USB type C ports act in the same manner... Just to confirm, you have completed the build and the cables still don't stay in?
This is also happening with my kit. Fully assembled, but the USB C cables do not stay in. Has anyone found a solution to this?
I assembled the kit w/o soldering it first so that i could get some real force.. it felt like WAY too much force even with this. But it now works and was an audible click when pushing the cables into the usb c connector. If a normal connector is aroung 100g this felt more like 1kg of force. But it's soldered up now and it is working perfectly :) though a lot more pressure required than i would expect from a usb style connector!
Second this, I just pushed really hard and it made a click and stayed in.
Very stiff first time inserting during the pre-build test. now after assembled after using a few times they do seem much better
