Two months sure is a long time... Getting closer everyday on this journey...
Tell me about it. Now with the drama surrounding the PLANCK kit needing FCC testing, it's got me worried that we'll be in the same boat.... unless Infinity has already done all that previously?
I went ahead and bought a preassembled let's split while I'm waiting. Should keep me occupied.
I'm going to wait and see what they have to say, but I've sourced all the parts for an Ergodox build and I may just go that route then sell the kit once it arrives.....depending on what happens, of course.
It just seems so hard to gather all the parts together without it coming out to be more than 300 bucks. Especially if you buy presoldered pcbs.
You got that right, but with keycaps that's what I spent on this drop
You got the full hand? I just got DCS blank keycaps and cherry greens. This Let's split has panda blacks, but at least I can start getting familiar with ortholi ears and programming keys.
Yes, I went ahead and got the whole hand add on. I figured if I ever wanted them that it would be simpler to go ahead and get them with the drop. Oddly enough, I went with cherry greens, as well. I've never had a full-green board and I'm excited to try it out. I love keyboards that make a lot of noise.
I've used blues before, but I felt like they were too easy to push, I didn't want to keep bottoming out. And I was very tempted to get a full hand datamancer case, but I just couldn't do it when I can buy the Griffiti Pads for like 15 bucks on Amazon.
I'm part of the plank drop too, was not happy about that news yesterday.
MD stated that because of shipping internationally, the PCBs needed to go through more rigorous testing by the FCC and MD wasn't aware of that. This is after the PCBs were already delayed for QC reasons.
