Is it really so hard to send an email updating the status? What a terrible level of service when an item I pay for months in advance doesn't ship as scheduled, and the only way to find updates is to sort through the comment threads. This will be the last drop I join for sure.
>...sort through the comment threads
Buddy...it was at the top...
Yeah, it was uncool to go so long without saying anything, but chill...it's a keyboard...
Regardless of what it is, this isn't Kickstarter. It is a store front. Communication is key. I was a part of the first drop and it was a nightmare but MassDrop communicated every issue immediately. Going dark for nearly a week on a $100+ product isn't acceptable.
Yup, I've been very outspoken in this comment section about how ridiculous it is that there has been no transparency on the status of the drop after the 10th. I'm not saying that their lack of communication is acceptable. But the OC was being highly dramatic...
Was it? Or was OP right on the money stating his concerns. They have already charged everyone. MassDrop had to know that something was up, a simple “we are experiencing some logistical difficulties we will post a more thorough update as soon as we have an idea of what's going on” they day they knew they'd moss their shipping window is not a lot to ask.
"terrible level of service" (after likely not contacting CS) and "sort through the comment threads" were pretty dramatic.
I'm still not disputing that they should have said something immediately.
Have you ever had a shipment delayed on Amazon? Is it your job to reach out to Amazon to see what happened?
lmao Buddy...I'm *still* not trying to dispute that MD should have said something on the 10th or 11th. Or are you having trouble reading?
But yes, I've had delayed shipments from Amazon and they've never sent anything. When you see a shipment was delayed, the tracking info on Amazon even says "If it doesn't get delivered by a certain date, contact customer support."
I think I'm done talking to you about this. I understand you're upset and want to voice your frustration, but we're all frustrated over the delay. But this conversation is no longer constructive. Have a good day. :)
It's not permanently at the top. They need to figure out how to pin updates to the top, which would be very helpful.
It was at the top when he posted it.
But you're right, updates on the drop should be pinned. We know they can do it because Mito's Godspeed drop had a comment from the organizer at the top.
