Checking in real quick. PCB fab on the first batch is complete and should be in our fulfillment center within a week. Case construction is underway and should also be completed within the week. We're past my initial hopes of mid September at this point, but entering the home stretch. At this point the first batch should be packaged and out the door in the next few weeks.
As for the order of shipping, I went through the transaction history and pulled the first 500 people from the data, but haven't yet figured out how to send an email out to just those people. Working with CS and Logistics to figure that part out, but with our current system emailing only specific people in a drop(above 25 users) isn't a simple task.
As a work around you can go to your transaction page and check the transaction date. If you're transaction date is before "April 6, 2015" then you are in the first batch of orders.
Thanks everyone and I'll keep you posted as I hear any new info.

Thanks for the update. Just to clarify, if the date is April 6, would that mean the second batch because it's not _before_ April 6? Thanks!

Thanks for the update. So we should not expect any more problems with the PCB or the case. They are ordered and will go straight to to fulfillment center. I'm in the first batch and really looking forward receiving it soon.

How many weeks can people whose transaction date is after April 6th expect it to take? Are we talking of 2-3 weeks more than the first batch or significantly more (like double that or beyond)? Would be great to have it around Christmas? :D

Before Half Life 3 for sure ;)
Though I *think* originally we were only missing the screens for the rest, but now I am not sure. I thought the PCBs and cases were already done, we were only waiting for another 1000 screens, which would have taken at most one month, according to some earlier posting. https://www.massdrop.com/buy/infinity-ergodox/talk/264235

We should take bets on whether the next update is going to be another "Oops, we screwed up something else, and it is going to take another month" post. I'm guessing we will get at least a two more before the long silence that heralds a failed crowdfunding project.
At least we are in a much better position than a normal sketchy kickstarter failure; MD should be flush with cash after their last round of funding, and venture investment requires corporate forms that can be easily served with a lawsuit but can't easily divest assets to become judgment proof. This fact (and the punitive damages allowed by consumer protection laws, and the reputation damage) hopefully provide incentive for MD to complete the drop. Between the PCB and case screw ups, I doubt they are making much (if any) money off completing and shipping the keyboards.

Yes. Before April 6th is the cutoff, so if yours says after April 5th it'll be second batch

Everything should be problem free at this point. Just construction and fulfillment. The only thing I didn't account for is the Moon Festival in China at the end of this month. We're actively pushing to complete before they shut down China for a week, and we're going to keep people working to complete through the end of the month. The only thing that might get in the way is if Customs decides to stop checking shipments, but we're working to get things out of the country before then.

Everything should be fulfilled by the end of October and we're pushing to get it done earlier, so it should only be a couple extra weeks.

So by everything you mean just the first batch should be shipped by the end of October, or both batches?

You'll have to ask HaaTa. Input Club owns the plans, not MD.
When they are released, they should be available here: https://github.com/kiibohd/case

Useless trivia (because it doesn't affect the main point, which is that China factories will be mostly idle on first week of October) : Moon Festival (a.k.a. Mid Autumn Festival, Moon Cake Festival) is not a major holiday, though a great excuse to eat yummy moon cakes. Golden Week, which is around Oct 1 on their National Day, is a major holiday where many factory workers go back to their hometown.

There we go. I just know there's a double whammy of holidays this year which is causing an extended absence.

Took me an embarrassingly long time to work this one out, but try searching your email inbox. MD would have sent an email when you joined the drop.

By the end of October will it be only the first batch or all of them which will be shipped ? And why is there still no e-mail about the main updates ?
