I'm finally building my kit and I've noticed that I have a 3rd PCB that's square and red. I don't see it mentioned in the build guides. From the packing slip it has SKU MDX-3447-1 and "NPKC Additional PCBA" as the description. Anyone know what it is? It doesn't seem to belong in the ergodox.

They sent those out with the last drop as a small gift for putting up with all the delays. It's a numpad PCB, and by all accounts it's not a very good one.

It's the board for this: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/npkc-switch-tester ... it was a free gift as an apology for the delays. Kind of a weird free gift for most people, I think.

I would like a mechanical numpad since I usually use a tenkeyless. It would be nice for when I know I'll be doing a lot of numbers, like @ tax time. But it looks like it would probably be the version that does the num row instead of the version that does numpad :(

thanks. I bet someone asked my same question at least once in the previous 166 pages of comments, but I don't see a good way to search the comments on this site.

That red NPKC PCB actually puts out numeric keypad codes, not number row.
