For people thinking about committing to this drop, remember there is a "NO RETURN" policy on "NON DEFECTIVE" items. So if you do not plan on assembling with in two weeks of receiving Ergo Dox to find out there was a bad trace on your PCB do not buy here because they will not accept a return. No I haven't had an issue or bad experience with MD.
I'm am just making it clear for those who have not purchased. I purchased the previous drop for the Ergo Dox, but I don't plan on assembling any time soon. It arrived and that's when it dawned on me that I wouldn't be able to test the thing out prior to their "TWO WEEK" period where you can still return a defective item.
With that said, yes MD provides mediocre discounts, but not enough on all products to warrant a "ALL SALES FINAL UNLESS DEFECTIVE" policy.
I'm in the same boat as you; I want an ergodox but I won't be able to assemble it after the supposed august ship date for a few months. If I do get a faulty PCB, will MD replace it? As I understand your post, a full return in possible within 2 weeks, but not after?
A full return with in two weeks is only possible if you find some flaw with the product. After said two weeks you no longer can return it. So if you are in that situation I would suggest purchasing at a later drop when you can immediately assemble it. I just realized this is the most terrible product for Mass Drop's business model.
