$200 for a blank PCB? and they said audiophile is silly? OMG
You get a PCB with everything already soldered on except switches. You also get a case, cables and switches.
If you think it's overpriced, you are welcome to have it manufactured yourself since the designs are open sourced, but I doubt you'll be able to do it for less. Small quantity PCB manufacturing is an expensive thing to do.
Blank PCBs, except not blank but with surface components presoldered. And including switches, case, LCDs and all the needed components. The switches alone are worth at least $50. It took me a couple of hours to hand-solder the SMDs on my other ErgoDox, so that's worth a few dozen dollars as well. If you feel like hand soldering a cortex M4, then you probably want one on a breakout board, so that might run you $20. The chip alone is just $5, but I really wouldn't want to solder that.
This is a great deal for me, but feel free to make your own from scratch. Everything you need, except for parts, is available here: https://input.club/devices/infinity-ergodox
:D lucky i dont need to hand solder my iphone, easily worth $5000 with the FPGA pre soldered. imagine handsolder FPGA :D
