Just put together the Ergodox Infinity I received a couple weeks ago, the second Ergodox I've built. The stabilizers that came with the Infinity kit are garbage. They bind up the 2u width thumb keys pretty regularly, even after lubing the contact point. Two of the four stabilizers work okay. Two work very poorly. The Zelios purple switches are heavenly, but these stabilizers ruin the experience. Very disappointing.

Same experience I had 2 drops ago. You can use a hobby knife to remove some plastic where the stab bracket meets the switch plate; this allowed mine to open up more fully, since the plate opening seemed to be 'pinching' them just a bit . (probably just due to poor tolerances in the bracket).
WASD keyboard's stabilizers supposedly work well with these plates; I would have ordered them but my 'surgery' on the stab brackets fixed my issues. http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/products/keyboard-parts/cherry-mx-plate-mounted-stabilizer-clips-2pcs.html

I did the surgery, but found the WASD parts to be superior to even the "fixed" brackets- a very smooth key action. In looking at the difference in the parts, the WASD stabilizer insert that goes into the keycap has a larger slot for the wire, and that means the insert won't be pressed into the stabilizer clips. The stabilizer clips are much better quality and the verticals are vertical, vs. bent in slightly. It was worth the $4 total to replace junk parts with good parts. Now my Zelios switches are super smooooooth.
