I have some pain in my fingers and have been using split keyboards. I want to change to a mechanical want so I'm going to pick the ergo dox but I'm unsure about the switch. I know I want a tactile one but I'm undecided between MX Brown/Clear or zealios (Or something else)
Do you have a recommendation on switches mostly thinking on reducing pain while typing?

Browns are lighter compared to clears. Zealios are also lighter compared to cleara, IIRC, at least the 65g ones are. I'd say browns would be the most economical option and also the least strain on fingers.

I too would go with either Browns or Zealio - the tactility of the Zealio are certainly more noticeable than the tactility of the (Cherry) Browns. I think I would go with the Zealio and switch to a lighter spring (~60 - 62g) if the 65 are a bit too heavy.

Would the Zealios use the same keycaps as cherry?

I went with browns after suffering the same issues. They've been great for me! I've never tried zealios, but take this as a vote of confidence in the browns.
