If I have a problem with the keyboard, is support available?
Massdrop will cover any manufacturing/delivery problems. I had a PCB break due to a design flaw (that only affected the first half of the first drop), and Massdrop replaced it quickly and easily.
This is a kit though, so there's a certain expectation that you can manage the build and troubleshoot whatever problems you introduce on your side. The community is certainly helpful with that, but we can't build the kit for you.
Thanks, I was more concerned with manufacturing/delivery problems. I look forward to building the kit but just wanted to make sure if there were problems that I didn't introduce that I would be taken care of.
They will cover any manufacturing problems. I had no problems with mine, which was in the last drop. I've heard they have taken care of other people in the drop before the last one.
You can only discover such problems after delivery, of course, and there have been some delivery problems reported with Canadian customers. Units were in "delivery limbo" for more than two weeks with no tracking available, as of October. That's a little bit disconcerting.
I'm in the U.S., and mine arrived fine within one week after Massdrop notified us that they were "packing the shipments".
