I have had this board for about 10 months now, and after circling back I noticed that the board I received was not the one bought. For example, in the advertised board, it has a page up and page down keys, mine came with and insert and delete key. I was also wondering why the driver does not work, after doing some deep dives it appears that my board is actually the limited "Keep out" edition. But it came in the frost white as listed above. I verified this by downloading the driver for the Keep Out edition and it recognized the board in this specific driver, but not the normal one.
I just got mine. And I'm loving it so far, the screen displays the battery level and other keeb information, and also display Custom GIF. I downloaded the software in epomaker it recommend me to update the Firmware then I changed the GIF, and the "BUG" happen, the screen starts to glitch out, I tried to restart the keeb just to fix it then I realized I can't go back to the info/main menu screen, its just stuck in GIF screen. i need help to fix this. kinda makes me sad that i can't go back to the menu screen.
the the feels of the keeb is nice, sounds great for me.
HI-FI mechanical keyboard......
.... seems a bit of a stretch, HI-FI... really? ... then it should have the best DAC on the market built into the keyboard, with an amp so we can run our 600ohm headphones for some real hi-fi...... and be at least 4x this price.... silly....
This thing kind of seems awesome. I may have to get one in for review.
I hope the screen can do more, and I hope the software is decent. You can find it on the EPOMAKER Website.
If I get it and use it on my test bench I'm going to put some tactiles in it.
I wish the black came in a barebones kit as I am not huge on those keycaps. But the white model looks sweet.
You can also find this in many other colours like Pink, purple, green, and more but those units cost a lot more.
Anyone wondering how to pair the Bluetooth? I don't speak Chinese, so the printed instructions that came with the keyboard were a little hard, but I figured it out.
Use the three position switch on the back to select Bluetooth connectivity. You can see on the screen if you are on the Bluetooth setting.
Use FN+Q, FN+W, FN+E to select Bluetooth device 1, 2, or 3. If you hold for three seconds, THAT puts it into pairing mode.
For some reason, the moment I clicked on the little preview video, saw the positioning of the hands and KNEW that spacebar wasn't getting touched. So why avoid the spacebar? Is it a spring-loaded gag spacebar that boings up into the user's face when pressed? You legally have to tell us if that's the case.
Speaking of the case, what kind of stuff is "premium" made from? Is it a new alloy on the scene, or a brand new marerial that's neither metal nor plastic? Again, legal precedent demands detail.
It is a plastic case. It has aluminum "trim", there's absolutely nothing premium about this board, nor is there anything that would make it "hi fi", absolute shit show of a board. I'd expect nothing less from massdrop though.
