Is this watch named after actor Jason Bateman?

rumata13Ingersoll has a knack of naming their watches after sometimes obscure figures in the historical canon - many have nothing to do with watches or watch-making. This particular one is named after Lucius "Hot Hands" Bateman, a somewhat locally famous New Orleans piano player in the 1920's.

rumata13 Use your head--Ingersoll's marketing game is to convince you they've got heritage; a history of making watches since Moses. Why the hell would they name a watch after a living, B-grade actor?

rumata13Yes, thank you, I know who Jason Bateman is - a very good and versatile actor. Doubt that he would be amenable to lending his name to this watch though...

dotcat007Pretty sure that's from Ben-Hur, not The Ten Commandments. Unmistakably Charlton Heston, anyway.
