Product Description
Like many watches in Ingersoll’s vast collection, the Michigan strikes a good balance between functionality and reverence for the past. Sporting a 45-millimeter tonneau-shaped case with a prominent stainless steel bezel and oversized polished pushers, this timepiece catches eyes—but not at the expense of real features you’ll actually use Read More

Well, it’s probably better than the tap water in Michigan. Maybe.

Yeah, yeah!! "Watch out, watch out, there's a Philip Stein about!!! " Excuse the amateur attempt at a "pun"!!! Seriously I am in agreement with you , but some ,not all Ingersoll's are better than Philip Stein. But there are some extremely "Fugly" Ingersolls! As a fan of some of these watches as I am a "Geckota" watch fan also (managed to order the G-01 red dial ,before their sale ended) ;but in each range there are some that would definitely qualify for the Philip Stein range. I have never seen a Philip Stein that I would wear, even for free!!!!!

If this watch really embodied “...the spirit of the Midwest" it would be made by John Deer, and have a fly-over movement.

At $99 usd.... a steal! this is a very good price, even for last years model!! The current Michigan has a lot smaller pushers, but that's not a deal breaker for the value this watch offers. Surprisingly it sits well on the wrist at 45 mm diameter dial; mainly due to the curve on the back-plate/platform the watch seems to sit on. The way the strap is held into the case also makes it feel smaller on the wrist. I know there are a lot of Ingersoll hater's out there,a lot of them haven't ever purchased anything from Drop!!! Probably waiting for a $99 usd. Tag!!!!! But the finish and quality of this watch and most Ingersoll watches, bats well above it's weight in the performance cost ratio. I like it, well I did purchase this years Limited Edition Bronze/gunmetal automatic ,so that's a given. But if you don't mind something a little different on your wrist now and again this Steampunk look can be fun. I find it interesting the amount of "collectors" that only seem to have one style in the one colorway for most of their watches!!! I do like a bit of variety. As I write this one style is already sold through!!

Can’t recall his particulars, but like many of the old-timers, he too seems to have moved on.

RayFI still will stay there is always a reasonable deal then and again that I like. All my watches don't have to be higher end, or luxury ,I =quite like some of the "microbands", like gekota; just ordered the G-01 vintage auot in red dial before the sale ended .I will start up a "Geckota-Ingersoll" site for resale!!!!! Haven't had a real "Geckota" hater for a while!!!

"A watch with the spirit of the Midwest." Well, Midwestern China perhaps. I'm not a huge fan of Shinola but at least their watches named for Detroit are actually assembled in Detroit.

I actually think that Ingersoll does a pretty good job making decent looking watches. Some of them are downright attractive watches. I bought a couple of the Colombus watches a while back, one in each colorway. These make a great gift. The amazing box also adds to it's giftable factor.

Hey JAone, Yup after many backs and forths, I did get the refund. Watches are pretty much garbage, I'll probably donate them! Thanks for the heads up on the Ingersoll, but I'm taking a LONG break from watch buying! I have over 100, and need to et it down to like 15!

seiko_killerI hear you, I have just culled mine down from 26 to 12; it was never as high as 100, even with some of my bargain basement Fossil and Diesel from back it the day!!! I am taking a little bit ,only a little of "Watchyoutalkingabout's" advice ,and I am only buying either really, really cheap fun watches with little loss on resale ,just to scratch my itch with watch n buying, or a watch still a good price but much higher quality which I will keep in the collection, so far so good!!! t's still fun when you get a good buy or something tricky and unique that won't cost you an arm and leg when you move it on. But no more 90% plus discount on what you know is reasonable quality, glad you got a refund as well; I came out ahead by $25 aud. when I sold on the dud "Curren" watch!!!
