Like something out of your grandfather’s old trunk in the attic, the Ingersoll Trenton looks like a piece of vintage Americana—and it is. Made by Ingersoll, which was founded in New York in 1892, the watch has a rustic look and feel Read More

Aside from the 44mm case and the weird cathedral hands this watch looks pretty decent

Damn near useless video walk-around of this watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpjpFNUQOjk

Speaking of strap changes, close inspection of the supplied strap appears to show something odd. Where one would expect to see a folded layer of leather strap, it looks like there's some kind of filler or plug in the mix. Anyone have any ideas?

RayFIt looks like edge paint. If done right, it makes leather edges smooth and more durable.

I just tried ordering I03404 and it is out of stock. F... me and my luck. Great looking watch and at that price with a lifetime warranty it is a steal....

It's an awesome price. Almost picked it up (but I had just ordered the other Ingersoll). For me, it's not the sheer size (I love my Seiko Prospex at 47.5mm and 14mm thick -- I've worn it at the office) -- it's the variation of the face. One shows a lot of visual interest, while another (smaller) can feel as subtle as a shiny dinner plate an hour after your date was supposed to show up.

Is this watch reliable? I'm looking to purchase a cheap automatic dress watch and I don't know if I should go with this watch or the Orient Bambino Gen 2.. Since it looks like there are a lot of people here who are into watches, what would you do? This watch looks good. The MSRP is high, but didn't see many reviews. It looks like it has a high quality strap as well. While the bambino has great reviews, a cheaper band. Both cost pretty much the same.. What would you do?

Thank you. I think I'll get a bambino regardless to this purchase.

44 isn't too big for a sport watch, but it's on the large size for a Men's Dress watch--the Bambino you're comparing it to is only 41mm. As mentioned, the two watches really don't have anything to do with one another. I've also noted something odd about the lugs and strap here--doesn't look conventional--might be nothing, but worst case scenario, standard strap changes would be next to impossible. My suggestion: get the Bambino, pass on this one. I'm guessing there will be further Ingersol drop in the future.
