Cross posted from the Gatecrash Discussion: >> I think there's no question in anyone's mind that these buys weren't handled in a desirable manner by Massdrop- and for that we accept full responsibility. As most of you know, we aren't TCG distribution specialists (despite the fact that many of us have played MTG for a while now), and there's a lot of quirks (and politics, surprisingly) in the way Magic cards are sold and distributed. RtR was a great success, but the fact that we closed it early was a drawback. Gatecrash, was our first "selling pre-release" situation, and Innistrad was a ridiculously large quantity of Magic cards. Each of these massdrops had their own unique problems and solutions, all with undesirable outcomes. We're working on cleaning everything up so that the next buy we launch will be much more efficiently run. There's been a clear demand for us to communicate with everyone more proactively, and I've added that to the top of my list if this ever becomes an issue again. Thanks to everyone for their patience.
