Pen just arrived yesterday in an already opened package? It was bent up at the front flaps and taped back up. Unfortunately I’d have to say I’d give the pen a 3 or 4 out of 5 star rating because the pen came with at least 4 machining blemishes that I can see as well as sharp burrs. Altogether I’d say it’s a decent pen for the price I just think they need a little more quality control before being shipped. Anyone else having the same issues? Update- also the end where the pen unscrews to replace the ink cartridge doesn’t want to come off. Did you guys loctite or torque these things? Lol

Hmmm, so apparently, mine came in the mail already! lol The shipping label was created back on April 15, and I noticed that something was coming my way via USPS Informed Delivery...but had no idea it was gonna be this. Well, this was a nice surprise!

i really enjoyed using a Mont Blanc rollerball. Since they are quite comparable wirh g2 refill. Can I check if I swap the G2 refill for a MB rollerball refill without making any modifications?

I have the medium and use the Mont Blanc 105158 refills without having to make any modifications.

I've bought a total of about 10 pens from Jim at maxmad.co but gave too many away for presents. I own a shitload of pens bc I am just a nutty collector for what is bright and shiny. The maxmad.co pens are the best there is in terms of size, thickness, price, function and simplicity. I would buy 10 more but Jim got out of the business making pens. The medium inventory is slightly thicker than the maxmad but hopefully I can modify it's funky mechanism to come close to the maxmad. Not sure if who copied from who but those pens look awfully the same.....at least from a digital perspective.

I'd be cautious with those statements. Unless you can show some evidence who did do what when you may come across like a fanboy justifying purchasing a 200 pen that can be had for half that elsewhere. I got two of the Fellhoelter's bc they were cheap when he first started offering them at Kickstarter in 2012. By then I already owned maxmad.co pens. So, who is copying from whom?

Hey guys, a bit hesitant on what size to get. this'll be my first "nice" EDC pen. Struggling between whether to get large or medium. i've primarily used uniball 207s and pilot g2s, so I'm leaning towards the large size as it seems more in line with those. However, I really like the black coating, but would have to settle for a medium as a result. Do you think it would be a significant difference between the two sizes? I had bought another pen and returned it because it was too small for my liking (4.4 inches iirc) hence why I'm worried about this decision. Thanks!

Hi there, the medium is probably the closest to a standard sized pen in terms of length (a little over 5"), you shouldn't have any problems there. The Bolt - L tends to be a little longer but works well for those who are committed to the G2 refill. I don't think either will be too small.

Any tips on how to polish scratches? I was a moron and tried to clean off some oxidation with an ink eraser, which typically works for my titanium watches but didn't work out too great here.

I use this for all of my metal polishing. https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Magic-400-Polish-Cream/dp/B000BO8Z9I But next time you just want to remove patina, just wipe with some Tarn-x, then rinse, and it’s as bright as new.
