Hi guys, I'm excited to say that I've been working closely with the original manufacturer for the OG INVYR Pandas. We've been talking about bringing back Pandas for a while now, given the popularity of Holy pandas in the community for the past year. One big complaint we had with our offering back in December was the criticism of the factory lube. Since the original Pandas were created with the basis of creating the smoothest linear, lube was applied on the stem as part of the process of manufacturing the switch. The manufacturer initially offered to re-release Holy Pandas in another run (that is, Halo stems inside INVYR Panda housings), given the success of it back last December. However, given a few factors such as - the fulfillment time behind opening each Panda switch and replacing with a Halo stem, as well as lubing the stem (yikes!), were stuff that I wanted to avoid. As a huge fan of Holy Pandas myself, I figured the best compromise would be to offer the 2 switches together in one drop and allow the community to assemble the switches themselves. Most of us enjoy spending time tinkering with franken-switching, lubing, or spring swapping so why not stem swap? Plus, you are able to control what and how much lube you want to apply to the Halo stem yourself. Regarding the updated changes to the INVR Panda linear switch, I understand many will voice their opinion on why we're offering it, or how much different they are compared to the OG run. The manufacturer has told me that the tooling and molds initially used in the December run of Holy Pandas were exhausted due to sheer amount of volume that they didn't expect. The life of these molds were old and far past repair so as a new set was created to produce these new "revised" INVYR pandas, which offer the same design and similar material. They were also tested with stem swapping with Halos and are indeed as tactile as other offering of Pandas and clones. Enjoy :)

SpencerLLogic makes perfect sense to me. Just know that no matter what decision you make here, people are going to light you guys up with complaints. People in the Holy Panda drop were livid about everything. So you do make the two switches separately and now people will complain you're ripping them off. Either way, I appreciate you guys finding the molds, and continuing to make new Holy Pandas possible for the community.

mattharmsOf course! Thank you for the positive comment, it encourages me to do my best and try to help find the best products for both beginners and enthusiasts in the community. I know it's impossible to please everyone and people will always voice their opinion, but really the most challenging aspect is being behind the business and hobby-ist side of it. There's a lot of discussion and negotiating behind most drops, it's not as simple as saying yes or no to curating what people want.

SpencerLwould't lubing the stem would get lube on the housing and leaf? Would we have to use an ultrasonic cleaner?
bobgr8It can, but it's negligible. I've built 6+ boards with panda clones ranging from YOKs and Gsus both which comes with factory lube. The tactility is still through the roof and they sound awesome. My process has been cracking open the Pandas and lubing the springs with Krytox 105, then dropping the Halo stems (clear or true). I'm aware some people like using 3203 on their Holy Pandas but that's all preference.

SpencerLDoes this mean we will never have Holy Panda switches on Drop again? I would prefer to just buy Holy Panda and save the trouble of DIY, if possible.

SpencerLthanks for the reply man! how does the new housing sound, as compared to the older ones?
scrmathBecause of logistical reasons, it is unlikely that we will have Holy Pandas again. However that may change in the future.
bobgr8Somewhat similar, a little deeper if you're listening really close and intently.
